I'm Lani. I live in Austin, Texas (jealous?). I am the New Media Director of Single Pointe Realty (and AgentGenius.com). I keep this blog as my personal take on the market, the business of Real Estate, and the agents that make up the profession from all over the nation. Because I am not a licensed agent- I write commentary from the unique perspective of part consumer, part insider. Oh, and I have a ridiculous affinity for cheese.

We're a unique real estate company that doesn't operate as a traditional brokerage. We bring new technology, modern buying & selling strategies to our clients- it's been my job to create a home buying & selling experience that is fun, fresh, & exciting for today's Austin real estate consumer.

More Than a Theme, a Brand

When my new WordPress theme was revealed recently, I received a TON of praise (which really should have been aimed at Benn who did all the work, but I’m fine accepting credit where it’s not due). What changed was my image, but I didn’t take the extra step to add new initiatives (…yet), rather I polished my old ones.

agentgenius.com brand launchThis is not the case over at Agent Genius. It could be that I am biased because I am a contributor there (and I married the host), but I doubt it. The launch of the new theme is so much more than a sexy outfit the blog put on- it is a brand. Bloggers often see themselves as simply a microphone, but the genius that is Agent Genius understands that it is possible to actually be a brand. The new site features initiatives such as a clean, bold platform, a focus on the authors’ speaking and consulting abilities, and a kick@ss lightbox feature that will soon reveal more about the contributors, as well as a new series of product reviews.

Not only is the site gorgeous, the brand is going to continue to grow- I’m very proud to be a part of Agent Genius! Please go to the site and comment on what you like and look forward to in the coming months- I know Benn (who has secretly been working on the site until sunrise for the last month) would appreciate it. Congrats on the brand launch, AG!

Congrats on your new look and feel, as well as on the AG brand!

Isn’t nice to be married to your own personal IT guy?! Reggie loves my list of to-dos! It’s comforting to know we aren’t the only married geeks sitting in our home office blogging every night after the kiddies go to bed! Do you spend your date nights at Barnes & Noble and Best Buy too?

Bubble Gum Interview- Benn Rosales (My HUSBAND)!!!

A better question is do you think people who say smooth as a baby’s butt have ever changed a diaper? I mean seriously, why do we spend so much time dreaming of being younger or going back in time, or relating to childhood when we really should embrace the “now”. Looking backwards is so “life in reverse.”[…]

Without giving too much away, it involved a party, a Tall Scotch & Water with a Twist (or ten), midnight munchies, a drive-thru window, assorted food products named “Jack” (Bonus, Breakfast), two Super Tacos, a large order of fries and a couple of regrettable hangovers. Steve is such a romantic![…]
