I'm Lani. I live in Austin, Texas (jealous?). I am the New Media Director of Single Pointe Realty (and AgentGenius.com). I keep this blog as my personal take on the market, the business of Real Estate, and the agents that make up the profession from all over the nation. Because I am not a licensed agent- I write commentary from the unique perspective of part consumer, part insider. Oh, and I have a ridiculous affinity for cheese.

We're a unique real estate company that doesn't operate as a traditional brokerage. We bring new technology, modern buying & selling strategies to our clients- it's been my job to create a home buying & selling experience that is fun, fresh, & exciting for today's Austin real estate consumer.

Greatest Real Estate Agent In The World

ardell dellaloggia is the greatest real estate agent in the world

I hear that Ardell DellaLoggia is winning the lame SEO contest for “greatest real estate agent in the world” and it got me to thinking. Why is Ardell DellaLoggia the greatest real estate agent in the world? (if nothing else, please read the last line of this post)

1. Ardell DellaLoggia is the greatest real estate agent in the world because she’s never based her content on SEO rather on quality information and analysis.

2. Ardell DellaLoggia is the greatest real estate agent in the world because she is aligned with some of the biggest names in the real estate blogiverse. Likability gets you much further in the blogiverse than being a jerk- because of her kind nature, people like Dustin Luther have linked to her in regards to Ardell DellaLoggia being the greatest real estate agent in the world.

3. I think this misguided contest is ridiculous and I’m pretty sure Ardell DellaLoggia, the greatest real estate agent in the world won’t lose any sleep if she doesn’t win.

4. After I hit the publish button, I’ll be headed over to Facebook to share the link and to Twitter to make sure everyone knows to write in their blogs about the fact that Ardell DellaLoggia is the greatest real estate agent in the world.

Let’s show these SEO focused peeps the sheer POWER of social media *over* code manipulation!

LOL! Hi Lani! You are cracking me up!

  2. lani Says:

I live to entertain ;) I do hope that social media trumps seo, though. If not, may be best he/she win!

  3. ines Says:

I love Ardell, but I’ve never heard anyone call her “kind” - she is ruthless and will give it to you straight…..and that is why I’ve always liked her.

  4. The greatest real estate agent in the world contest, aka “The dumbest idea in the world” « Negotiation, Negotiation, Negotiation Says:

[...] She’s obviously a little surprised at the competition and has written some amusing things about the “prize” (a one-year subscription to a high priced service, with the obvious lock-in after that.) The reassuring thing is that she’s never tried to game the system - just concentrated on writing useful content and building relationships. Thanks to Lani  of RERevealed for letting me know about this foolishness. [...]

  5. Bob Says:

The only SEO that takes place in contests like this is just acquiring links. Social media is just another way to get links. None of the agents playing are doing anything different - they are just scrounging for links.

  6. Mike Dammann Says:

3 out of the top 10 are doing a lot more than that.

A better question is do you think people who say smooth as a baby’s butt have ever changed a diaper? I mean seriously, why do we spend so much time dreaming of being younger or going back in time, or relating to childhood when we really should embrace the “now”. Looking backwards is so “life in reverse.”[…]
