FBI taps my emails
I’ve been trying desperately to reach the Center for Missing & Exploited Children to try to coordinate a widget effort that would flash faces of missing children on a widget that I would put on my blog and on everyone else’s. Can you imagine waking up and your child is gone, just NOT THERE??? What a heartbreak- and we bloggers have the power to DO something about it.
After weeks of sending emails into space, the FBI must have tapped my uber-important email server and developed a series of widgets that likely took an hour for their webdork to develop. I’m so happy because I feel that as blog or website hosts, we have valuable face time that could be used for more than sales and networking. The FBI found a solution that isn’t quite faces flashing on the screen, but this is a start.
Several widgets have been released with their codes, such as Predators & Missing Persons, Wanted by the FBI and FBI News. When I can get their code to work, I’ll have the widget on the sidebar, but for now, they can also be viewed on the FBI website.

Congrats on finally getting through to them. I like your idea of flashing missing children’s photos in a sidebar, but at least this is a start. I am going to review them more over the weekend and see if I will put one up on my blog. Thanks for the heads up and nudging the FBI to let us help out.
