I'm Lani. I live in Austin, Texas (jealous?). I am the New Media Director of Single Pointe Realty (and AgentGenius.com). I keep this blog as my personal take on the market, the business of Real Estate, and the agents that make up the profession from all over the nation. Because I am not a licensed agent- I write commentary from the unique perspective of part consumer, part insider. Oh, and I have a ridiculous affinity for cheese.

We're a unique real estate company that doesn't operate as a traditional brokerage. We bring new technology, modern buying & selling strategies to our clients- it's been my job to create a home buying & selling experience that is fun, fresh, & exciting for today's Austin real estate consumer.

Carnival of Real Estate… few entries = better chance!

Only 17 entries to the Carnival of Real Estate so far?  Looks like this will be an easy Sunday night for me!!!

Sidenote- isn’t this Sunday your birthday, Lani?  Why yes it is, and I have previously posted my wish list on the blog.  Hmmm… what a coincidence!

Well, Have fun! and Happy Birthday! (Sunday is my husbands bday as well…)

  2. lani Says:

    Happy birthday, Mariana’s husband!

  3. Derek Says:

Happy Birthday Lani… Mine is Saturday (27)!
Also, I think Mariana’s husband name is the same as mine.

  4. Mariana - Springs Realty Scoop Says:

(Yes it is, and it is even spelled correctly: D-E-R-E-K. :))
Lani - You are going to spend your Birthday night doing the Carnival? … Nice. Hope you get a cake, too!

  5. Kris Berg Says:

Happy early birthday, Lani! So many October babies here. Since mine was two weeks ago, this practically makes us twins! I’ll be the snotty older sister who won’t let you wear her clothes. Happy birthday to Derek and our other brother Derek as well.

As for the Carnival, I had better get crackin’. My blog was just brimming with insightful writing this week. Do I submit the one about my dog inspired by Kevin Boer’s friend’s dog, or the one about woolly mammoths inspired by writer’s block? Then, there is always the blank page sitting in draft mode. (I think that one is the winner). Oh, what to do.

Today is Steve’s anniversary, which technically makes it mine as well. If you really wanted to ruin my day, you could remind me that I have been married about as long as you have been alive.

    Derek- happy birthday!

Mariana- I won’t have time for cake :( so I’ll probably veg on JUNK FOOOOD while I read CoRE articles (from the car since we’ll be traveling). Crazy, huh?

Kris- I had planned on borrowing the frilly shirt (Nacho reference) this weekend- you suck. Submit the blank one as “artistic expression.” Happy anniversary to you and Steve- live it up!!!!! :)

  7. Derek Says:

Lani: I still have some cake left if you want a piece. My mom buys me a cake every year and I only get a slice if I am lucky. This year she got one made from yellow cake mix rather than the usual chocolate, so hasn’t disappeared as fast as normal.

  8. Jay Thompson Says:

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY LANI! Sorry I missed it, I was at the beach, where time stops. Now I’m back, and it sucks. (being back, not time).

Mine was the day you posted this. So *I* am closer to your bday than Kris. NEENER!!!

  9. lani Says:

Happy Birthday Jay & Kris & Derek and yo mamma :)

Sorry you had to come home :( I got your letter in the mail- thanks!

Bubble Gum Interview- Benn Rosales (My HUSBAND)!!!

A better question is do you think people who say smooth as a baby’s butt have ever changed a diaper? I mean seriously, why do we spend so much time dreaming of being younger or going back in time, or relating to childhood when we really should embrace the “now”. Looking backwards is so “life in reverse.”[…]

Bubble Gum with Kris Berg

Without giving too much away, it involved a party, a Tall Scotch & Water with a Twist (or ten), midnight munchies, a drive-thru window, assorted food products named “Jack” (Bonus, Breakfast), two Super Tacos, a large order of fries and a couple of regrettable hangovers. Steve is such a romantic![…]
